With the scores dropping as low as they can go, Camillo Villegas and Jim Furyk are right now battling for the #1 spot in the BMW Championship. Camillo and Jim currently stand with a -13 on their 5th hole of the final round today.
My Thoughts on both players: Camillo has been playing some serious golf this year, and I really hope he comes out today with a trophy in hand. He played some excellent golf at the British Open, and is really looking forward to a big trophy he can call his own. This young man has a bright future ahead of him, and a trophy right now would really boost his career going into the off-season.
Jim Furyk is a great golfer. He seems to be consistent wherever he plays, and I don’t think another trophy to put on his shelf would bother him much. There isn’t much to say about him except he is a lot more experienced to me than Camillo Villegas.
Wrap-up: To end todays Quick Update, I advise you to turn on your TV and watch this final round. If the tournament is not available, go online and find the scores hole-by-hole. I will have a post either today or tomorrow telling you the winner and why I thought they won and did a good or bad job.
